This was played using the Boss GT1 effects pedal with a ring modulator effect creating a pipe organ sound I felt worked great with Toccata and Fugue. The Boss GT1 pedal is my mainstay onstage and at home; it packs conveniently and will run on batteries for several gigs in a row, making it one less adaptor to worry about.  

I'm using a 90's Jackson Dinky swamp ash guitar body with a Bill Lawerance L-500 pickup and a Charvel 24 fret neck. 

The Ibanez GA35 Thinline acoustic-electric classical guitar is a wonderful piece of gear.   It has a cutaway for increased access, fantastic pre-amp with mic or 1/4" output, built-in tuner and an all wood thin body that is a blessing to play and good tonal quality to boot.  

 I'm playing a piece I put together during the 2020 Covid lockdown, hence the name, "Flamenco-vid".

Here we have my version of Joe Satriani's "Surfing With the Alien",  where I'm using a Charvel ebony neck on a KnE mahogany soloist body., which is my workhorse guitar for gigging.  This guitar has no tremolo, just a solid mounted bridge that won't go out of tune if I break a string mid show.   

The tone was created using the venerable Boss GT1 pedal, I didn't even use the built-in wah pedal function in it on this... which does sound great. 

For pickups, we again have a Bill Lawerance L-500XL in the bridge position, with my own custom wiring on a simple 5-way switch that gives me Bridge, Bridge & Neck, Neck, Outer single coils and Neck single coil in that order.

Yet, another Joe Satriani song, "Always with Me, Always with You", this time using a Boss SE-70 Multi-Effects processor.  This thing was a beast when it came out and still is, fitting in a half-rack space and punching way above it's weight. It can get such a warm tone, and shimmery cleans. 

It was used on quite a few recordings at Atelier Recording Studio, and still going strong.

Again, using the KnE mahogany body guitar with Charvel ebony neck. 

I wish this was a better recording of Guthrie Govan's "All Said and Done", where I'm playing a Charvel DK24 with ebony neck and natural Okoume body.  It came with a silky smooth Floyd Rose bridge, and I only added a Bill Lawerance L500 humbucker in the bridge position. 

I find I have a propensity for natural wood bodied guitars; whether 6-string guitar or 5-string bass.

I was using a the Boss Katana mini amplifier, that has amazing tone, but doesn't record well through laptop speakers...

This is just a thing I do; play the opening riff of "Teacher's Pet" by Extreme, and throw any lick I can think of in between.  Gotta love Nuno, he's still one of my absolute faves. 

He and I share the same desire for natural wood guitars and Bill Lawerance pickups...  although I'm not really a huge fan of the Washburn N4 guitars. 

Again, using the Boss Katana mini amplifier.  Possibly the best distortion tone of any amp I've ever had.
